Open Aperture and create a New Project, either by clicking the “+” sign at the top of the screen or selecting it under the File in the Menu bar.
Gallery Name Format: “Year.Month.Day Event Name”

Drag & Drop all JPEGS (JPEGS only!!!) from recent event in your new project.
Once all images are loaded into your new project. Next we will Rate and Crop images for the final gallery. Double-click on first image and proceed to next step.
For every image worthy of being added to the final gallery should get a 1-Star rating. Do this by pressing “1” on the keyboard. Next press “C” and using the mouse crop around the image. Be generous with the stars, clients love large galleries.
Strive to make Perfect Crops that center the guest or group within the photo. Be sure to leave .25″ to .5″ inches of headspace between the guest and top of photo.
Once all images have been rated and cropped, filter the gallery so that only the final images are showing. Clients love large galleries, therefore do not exclude too many photos.
Now Select All images in the gallery. This can be done by clicking Select All in beneath Edit in the Menu Bar or pressing “⌘ + A” on the keyboard.
After selecting all images you will Export Versions to a new folder on the desktop. Export Versions creates new files will leaving originals unchanged.
Create a New Folder. Choose the Export Preset dropdown menu. Next choose the JPEG… 1800 X 1800 preset or choose Edit at the bottom of the list and create one.
Create an Export Preset named JPEG – Fit Within 1800 x 1800 using the settings below. This will constrain exported images to a width and height within 1800 pixels.
Lastly press Export Presets on the final screen so that they can be saved the folder of your choosing.
